  • Applications are only accepted when we have an advertised vacancy on one of the many boards and commissions of the City. An application form can be downloaded from the City's website or the application form and additional information is available in the City Administrator's office located on the 5th floor of City Hall, 316 N. 26th St.

  • Use the Billings Police online reporting system or call a volunteer with the Crime Prevention to report an abandoned vehicle. The Cop Shop number is (406) 247-8590. This report will be forwarded to the Police Department and the vehicle will be tagged with an orange sticker. The officer will check back in five days after the sticker is placed on the vehicle and if the vehicle has not been moved we will forward the report to the Yellowstone County Junk Vehicle division to be towed.

  • Noise levels are measured in decibels and are different for different areas of the community defined as zones. For example, noise levels in an area zoned for 'heavy commercial' will be higher than areas zoned 'residential-one family'. The decibel listings are too long to list for this response. As a rule of thumb persons should limit activity likely to create a noise complaint between the hours of 8 p.m. and 7 a.m. If a person wants to look at the ordinance they can come to City Hall and go to the City Attorney's office.

The Regular meetings and work sessions begin at 5:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers located on the 5th floor of City Hall at 316 N. 26th St.
