On the Cemetery's home page, find and click on the link to Gravesite Locator. It will take you to a site that you can type in a last name and the name of the cemetery (Mountview) and click on "Find". That will take you to a list of everyone buried in Mountview with that last name. Highlight the name you want and click on "View Record" and then when you get to the screen that has the burial information on it, click on "Click Here to Show on Map" and it will show you a printable map of the lot that your loved ones grave site is located.

Ground level artificial flowers are only allowed in a standard flower container during the summer months, May 15th to Oct. 15. During the winter months Oct. 15th to May 15th, ground level artificial flowers are not allowed except 3 days before a holiday and 3 days after a holiday. Christmas decorations are removed by the end of the second week of January.Flowers on the base of an upright monument are allowed year round. Fresh flowers are always welcome in the Cemetery.
Flowers and decorations which are not in a standard flower container are not allowed in Mountview Cemetery. The Cemetery makes an exception to that rule during Memorial Day and Christmas. All Memorial Day flowers not in a standard flower container are removed a week and a day after Memorial Day. If you need a new standard flower container, they are available for purchase in the Cemetery Office for $35.
Gound level artifical flowers can be covered by snow and not seen by snow removal personel. This may result in damaged equipment or cause injury from airborn artifical flowers.
We would appreciate it if Christmas decorations are not put out until the middle of December, but most of the flower regulations are waived during the Christmas season. Decorations will be removed by the City on January 19th. If you want to save yours, you need to remove them on or before the 18th of January.
Ground level flowers placed in a standard flower container can be set out any time after May 15th. Flowers just set on the ground can not be put out before the Thursday before Memorial Day.
Yes & No. The old Plot Finder will no longer work, but the Locator which is hosted by Yellowstone County, will provide all the features that Plot Finder had, plus more info. The map portion does not show where the individual grave is, but it gives the lot or group of graves in which the individual grave is located.
