Mission Statement

  • Our task force is a group of neighbors who are invested in issues affecting our neighborhoods, and the greater Billings area.
  • We come together to learn and to be heard on issues of community interest.
  • We believe that neighbors who are connected and informed help foster a better quality of life and a safer community.

Overview

The Rimrock Neighborhoods Task Force is a forum for the concerns of residents living in the Rimrock areas.

The geographic area of our task force is defined in our Bylaws:

  • Southern Boundary: The south side of Rimrock Road from 38th Street West, east to Virginia Lane; and the north side of Rimrock Road from Shiloh Rd/40th St. east to north 27th Street.
  • Eastern Boundary: The west side of north 27th Street from Rimrock Road extending on a line north to Highway 3 and continuing north through eastern parcels of the Billings Logan International Airport until it intersects with the northern boundary.
  • Northern Boundary: A line north of the Billings Airport extending due west just north of Rehberg Ranch Estates until it intersects with the western boundary.
  • Western Boundary: The east side of Shiloh Road/40th St. West from Rimrock Road extending due north until it intersects with the northern boundary.

We operate under the auspices of the City of Billings' neighborhood task force program, but we are citizen lead.  All residents in the taskforce area are considered members.  We are led by an elected board.  We communicate with members during meetings, newsletters, email alerts, and social media.   Guest speakers, presentations and discussion topics typically focus on pedestrian and vehicular safety, transportation, law enforcement, recreation, code enforcement, zoning and land use planning.

Issues and topics explored are selected by our board, with the intention of creating neighborhood cohesion, safety, and better quality of life.

We are a civic organization, and remain non-partisan, endorsing no political candidates.
