As your Citizen Police Advisory Board, it’s one of our duties to rally community support around public safety.
We want Billings to be a safe place to live.
That’s why we’re sharing the following message:
Community SAFETY; it takes all of us.
When trying to figure out what actions you can take, use the SAFETY acronym:
S - Social Engagement
A - Active Involvement
F – Face to Face Interactions
E - Educational Opportunities
T - Training and Instruction
Y - YOU!
As members of the Billings community, there are steps with various levels of commitment you can take right now to make our Billings a better place.
Social Engagement: Follow the Crime Prevention Center and Billings Police Department on Facebook to help identify persons of interest.
Active Involvement: Join your local neighborhood task force and make a difference where you live. There are nine across the city!
Face-to-Face Interactions: When you know your neighbors, it's easier to spot unusual activity in the neighborhood.
Educational Opportunities: Request or attend a public presentation put on by officers with the Crime Prevention Center.
Training and Instruction: Apply for enrollment in the Citizen Police Academy to better understand the work of the Billings Police Department.
You!: Volunteer for a local organization that makes an impact on youth and families.
We are citizens of this community, just like you. And we want you to know you have the power to make a positive impact, with one simple action.
Your Citizen Police Advisory Board,
Zack Terakedis, Hannah Reno, Kevin Holland, Kari Boiter, Joseph Stout, Denise Boggio, Charles Loveridge
