Multi-Family Housing
Housing First: City staff have raised over $800,000 in funds to support the development of two housing first projects to impact homelessness. For more information, please check out www.ci.billings.mt.us/housingfirst.
Pheasant Home: This project is located in the Billings Heights. The City invested over $500,000 in HOME funds to create 16 new rental units. Please contact the Housing Authority of Billings at 406-245-6391 for rental information. You may also submit a housing application online.
Southern Lights: This 20-unit new construction rental project is located near South Park, close to downtown Billings. A total of $500,000 was awarded to Homeword and construction was completed in July 2009. Homeword facilitated a series of design charrettes to develop architectural concepts congruent with the neighborhood's historic qualities. Magic City Terrace: A project for elderly tenants located in the Billings Heights area, owned and managed by Volunteers of America. This fully accessible, three-story building contains 84 unfurnished, one-bedroom apartments with full-sized kitchen appliances. For more information, please call (406) 248-9117 or email .
Old Town Square: This Housing Authority of Billings Development project was created in conjunction with the St. Vincent Foundation to provide affordable housing. The City contributed $242,000 to the project. These two-bedroom units have washers, dryers and dishwashers. One fully-accessible unit is also available at this site. Acme Hotel: This Homeword project was completed in 2004 and the City invested over $140,000 in to support the development of 19 affordable rental units. The Acme is a historic hotel that offers downtown living in Billings. The Farmers Market fills the street on Saturday mornings in the summer.
