Captain Brandon Wooley serves at the Captain of the Operations Division for the Billings Police Department. With 18 years of dedicated law enforcement experience Captain Wooley is committed to community safety, service, professionalism, and leadership. During his career, Captain Wooley has served in a variety of capacities, including patrol officer, Field Training Officer, firearms instructor, detective in the drug unit, FBI Task Force Officer, Drug Task Force Commander, Administrative Lieutenant, and Patrol Lieutenant. In 2017, he was recognized by the department as Supervisor of the Year. In 2024, he retired from SWAT as the SWAT Commander after 14 years on the team. A graduate of the FBI National Academy, Captain Wooley holds a Bachelor’s degree with a focus in Organizational Communications and Law Enforcement Leadership from MSU-Billings.
