Miscellaneous:
The project consists of construction of the Phase 4 landfill cell within the licensed landfill area. The City of Billings, Montana currently disposes of its solid waste at the City of Billings Regional Landfill located south of the City on Jellison Road. The project includes excavation and embankment work in order to prepare the area for installation of the liner. The expansion areas will be lined with the liner system as shown on the plans. The liner system includes the following elements from bottom to top: 6” compacted native clay liner subgrade layer, 60 mil double-sided textured HDPE flexible membrane liner, non-woven geotextile fabric, gravel base drainage and protective layer, and leachate collection piping and accessories.
