It’s that time of year when we can expect snow in the forecast here and there, which is why we wanted to share a few reminders about snow.
When it comes to removal, we all play a part. Property owners are responsible for keeping surrounding sidewalks safe for pedestrians by clearing snow, slush, and ice within 24 hours of snowfall. It is unlawful to move snow from private property to public streets, sidewalks, and alleys.
Unfortunately, due to a lack of interest, the Snow Buddies program which encouraged volunteers to sign up and assist community members with snow removal is inactive for this winter season.
